Iran, Brazil discuss sports cooperation

TEHRAN – Head of Iran’s Physical Education Organization (PEO) Mohammad Aliabadi and Brazilian Ambassador to Tehran Luiz Antonio Fachini Gomez here Tuesday exchanged views on expansion of cooperation in the sports sector.

The envoy welcomed bilateral cooperation and expressed his pleasure over the Iranians’ interest in Brazil’s sports particularly football.

Aliabadi, for his part, expressed hope the meeting will help boost ties between Iran and Brazil in different areas in particular sporting fields.

The vice president added Iran has made huge investments in the sports sector and eyes the third title in the next edition of the Asian Games.
